Vortex Spring - Camping, RV, Lodges

One of the most popular destinations in Holmes County is Vortex Spring, a 480 acre a local (and privately) owned resort.  In addition to being Florida's largest diving facility, the resort offers lighted campgrounds, full RV hookups (including electricity& sewage), modern bathroom & showers. Two lodge buildings are located in the campground which offer excellent informal lodging for  large groups on a co-ed basis. Northwest Florida Wildlife Management Areas - Primitive Camping

Throughout Northwest Florida are several Wildlife Management areas.  Many of the areas include secluded lakes and rivers engulfed in natural forest surroundings.  Primitive camping, hunting and fishing are allowed by permit only.
